½ lb dry pinto beans
½ lb black beans
1 tbsp dry cilantro
4 tbsp butter
1 7oz can of diced green chilies
1 tsp salt and pepper
1 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp chipotle chili powder
1 tbsp chili powder
4 tbsp chicken bullion
1 tbsp onion powder
½ red onion, diced
8 cups water
Place the pinto and black beans in a large colander and thoroughly rinse them.
Transfer the beans to a large pot or slow cooker and add dry cilantro, butter, and green chilies.
Season it with salt, pepper, granulated garlic, dried oregano, chipotle chili powder, chili powder, and chicken bullion.
Lastly, add diced red onion and water. Squeeze fresh lime and Tobasco for additional flavor and spice.
Simmer for about eight hrs. Serve while still hot. Enjoy!
