It’s deliciously different once you have a taste of Wendy’s Chili Con Carne. In our previous video, we made a rating about it. However, for today’s episode, we will be trying to recreate Wendy’s Chili Con Carne and see if we can make it taste even better because, as we always say, “It’s always better when you make it yourself.”
Ingredients:
2 lbs fresh ground beef
1-quart tomato juice
1 (29 oz) can of tomato puree
15 oz canned pinto beans. drained
15 oz canned red kidney beans, drained
¼ cup diced green bell pepper
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 ½ cups)
¼ cup diced celery
¼ cup chili powder
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 ½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp sugar
½ tsp oregano
Directions:
In a medium pot, cook the ground beef until it turns brown.
Pour the tomato juice and tomato puree into the pot. Add the pinto beans, red kidney beans, green bell pepper, onion, and celery.
Season with chili powder (depending on preferred spiciness), cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, ground black pepper, sugar, and oregano.
Mix thoroughly. Slow-cook for about 4 hrs
Serve while still hot. Enjoy!
