Another quick and comforting dish is on the table! The One Pan Ham and Cheese Tortellini will soon become your favorite dinner because of its creaminess and deliciousness. The pan will surely be loaded with ham and melted cheese that your family would truly love.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cups ham, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 ¾ cups low-sodium chicken broth
½ cup heavy cream
Black pepper to taste
1 ½ cups fresh shredded Mozzarella cheese
¼ cup fresh shredded Parmesan cheese
20 oz package of fresh or frozen tortellini
Fresh minced parsley
Directions
Heat olive in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook, often stirring, until softened. Add diced ham and garlic and cook for several minutes, until browned.
Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add heavy cream and still until combined. Season with black pepper to taste. Add mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Meanwhile, heat the broiler on your oven (place the rack in the center of your oven)
On a separate large skillet, bring the tortellini to a boi,l depending on the packaging
Take the tortellini and combine it with the sauce. Stir until well incorporated. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese and season with pepper. Place under the pre-heated broiler for about 3-5 minutes until golden and bubbly. Or, cover and let it sit for 5-7 minutes until all the cheese has been melted.
Garnish with fresh, chopped parsley.
Serve immediately while still hot. Enjoy!
