This recipe does not take longer than an hour to make and requires only a few ingredients. Ingredients:
1 lb 80/20 lean ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp rice vinegar
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup lite soy sauce
½ cup chopped scallions
Directions:
Over medium-high heat, cook ground meat until it turns brown
Drain most of the fat once it browns, then greases it with sesame oil. Add garlic and ginger.
Season with sesame seeds, mirin, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Stir until well incorporated. (You can add red chili pepper flakes to make it spicy.)
Cook until liquid has reabsorbed and meat is shiny but not soupy.
Top with green onions and toss together.
Pair it with rice, then serve while it’s still hot.
