Jalapeño Popper Filling Ingredients:
1 cup whipped cream cheese
10 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
3/4 shredded cheddar jack cheese
4 oz canned diced jalapeño peppers
Sandwich ingredients:
8 slices of pepper jack cheese
4 large pieces of sourdough bread
Jalapeño Popper filling
4 tbsp butter, softened
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine whipped cream, cooked bacon crumbles, shredded cheese, and jalapeño peppers. This would serve as the jalapeño popper filling.
Place 2 slices of sourdough bread on a large cutting board and layer with 2 pieces of pepper jack cheese. Evenly divide the filling and spread it on the bread. Add another layer of pepper jack cheese and top with the other slice.
Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat for 5 minutes. Spread 1 tbsp of butter on both sides of the sandwich and cook on the preheated skillet for 1-2 minutes per side or until the desired doneness.
Serve while still hot. Enjoy!
