There are a variety of ways to make green chili poppers. Others cover the chilis with breadcrumbs for extra crunchiness, overload them with cheese, or even turn them into balls. If you are Filipino, then you must be familiar with the Filipino version of the green chili poppers called "Dynamite" which is stuffed chilis covered in lumpia wrapper. However, none of the aforementioned will be featured in today's episode rather we will be making a JBros version of the green chili poppers. Watch the video below to learn more about it!
Ingredients:
4 green chilis
8 oz cream cheese
4 oz white sharp cheddar
2 tbsp JBros Bro-B-Q seasoning (https://www.jbroscooking.com/post/bbq-sunrise-sandwich): or taco seasoning of choice
8 pieces of bacon
Optional: hot sauce
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400F.
Cut the chills in half the long way, and try to leave the stem intact. Remove the membranes and seeds.
Combine the cream cheese, white sharp cheddar, and taco seasoning in a bowl and set aside. Add hot sauce for extra chili flavor.
Stuff the chilis with the cream cheese mixture.
Wrap each popper in bacon. Each should take 2 pieces of bacon
Place the poppers on a cooking sheet lined with a rack. Bake the poppers for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy to your liking.
Serve while still hot. Enjoy!
