Chicken wings might be a little pricey nowadays in the market but rest assured, this Cilantro Lime Chicken Wings is worth every penny. This recipe is easy to make and requires simple ingredients, leaving you with a rich-in-flavor, juicy, and crispy chicken that everyone will be feasting on. 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
1/2 cup cilantro leaves, chopped & divided
2 tbsp chili powder (1 tsp chili powder + 1 tsp chipotle chili powder)
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp lime zest
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice, divided
3 lb chicken wings or drumettes
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
In a medium bowl, mix olive oil, fresh cilantro leaves, lime zest, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
Pat and dry the chicken before soaking in the marinade.
Store and refrigerate overnight.
Place chicken in the grill and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 12-15 minutes.
Flip and season again with salt and pepper. Cook for another 12-15 minutes.
Remove from heat once the chicken's internal temperature hits 165˚F and cool for 5 minutes before finishing off with a freshly squeezed lime juice.
