Chorizo Burger

Here’s another burger recipe you could try if you like to explore other burger variations. Well, what can we say? Burgers are delicious and we love them! Chorizo burgers is an extremely flavorful Spanish-style burger made from beef and Spanish chorizo sausage. It can be made from different ingredients such as onion, chili, manchego cheese, and others of your choosing to give it a little boost, but for us, we like keeping it simple with pepper jack cheese and green chilies. Make your own chorizo burger now and remember, it is always better when you make it yourself.


  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 lb ground chorizo

  • avocado oil

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic

  • Green chilies

  • Pepper Jack Cheese, sliced

  • Brioche Bun


  1. Mash ground beef and ground chorizo together until combined. Shape the mixture into balls.

  2. Heat avocado oil in a medium heat pan.

  3. Place meatballs in the pan. Flatten each meatball to turn it into round patties. (Optional: Use wax paper to avoid patties from sticking)

  4. Season the first side with salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook for 5 mins then add some green chilies before flipping.

  5. Season the second side and cook until brown or for another 5 mins. Flip again and add cheese on the first side.

  6. Toast both sides of the buns.

  7. Assemble the burger. You can add other toppings like mayonnaise, guacamole, veggies, and others.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
