Banana Bread

Banana bread is one of the easiest sweet loaves one can make. It does not require intensive baking skills and can be baked with simple ingredients. Even an overripe banana is still good for banana bread. This pastry is great for breakfast or a healthy sweet snack in the afternoon.


  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup butter

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed (about 1 ½ cups)

  • 1 tbsp milk

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Chocolate chips

  • Walnuts


  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan (or similar size pan). Optional: Place a small piece of parchment or wax paper at the bottom of the pan.

  2. Make the sugar and butter into cream by whisking until it’s light and fluffy. Add the eggs one time, mixing the cream after each addition.

  3. Add the mashed banana and milk and stir to combine.

  4. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl. After, combine with the wet ingredients. Add the chocolate chips and walnuts then stir until fully combined.

  5. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 1 hr to 1 hr 10 minutes, or until all the insides have dried when inserted with a toothpick.

  6. Set aside to cool before removing the bread from the pan.

  7. Serve and Enjoy!
